Tulip Time again

Before I started this month’s theme I was working on a series of red tulips, you may look back and see four I painted…. I don’t really have them out of my system so here are a couple of more tulips I painted this week the other one, is 7 by 7.5" watercolor on paper for only$45.00

Also …a painting tip… the dark background in Tall Tulip.. is pathalo blue and indigo painted with a 1 inch flat brush in a random cross hatching manner and sprayed with water before it had time to dry. Also,I don't usually mix my colors on the palette, I mix them on the paper.

Are you getting tired of tulips, I've had a bit of a sinus problem this week so I've haven't painted as much as I usually do.

I think these photos just don’t turn out at night as well as those taken in outdoor light. This painting is much more delicate than this photo shows. I think its the flash.
It is 11:54 PM and I’ve just finished this painting and hurried to get it on line before midnight. I’ve really been having a difficult time getting all these commissions finished. I had three this week, and two of them were larger paintings, I’m still working on them, I’ll try to post them later this week if I can
