I painted this little card last night and was trying out some new paper. I don't believe its my usual paper and I had some difficulty getting the paint to sink into the paper. It had a lot of sizing. After some experimentation, I think I got it to work pretty good. As an artist, its difficult to change paints or paper because all of these things contiribute to the finished appearance of your work. Changing anything can make a big difference.
