Misty Mountains
I painted this using the triad system. It only has three colors. Burn't Sienna, Andrew's turquoise and Naples yellow. The triad doesn't have to be primaries for this type of painting to work. Billy Shellburn instructed us to put water and paint on the paper and allow the colors to mingel watching to see what happens. This gives you an idea as to what it will be. After putting a mat around it and allowing it to dry you comeback to it and take a nice long look, then you finish it. Its a fun excercise and some of the paintings are really beautiful.
